8 Many people spread their coats on the road, while others spread leafy branches that they had cut in the fields. 9 Those who went ahead and those who followed him were shouting,
“Hosanna![a]
How blessed is the one who comes
in the name of the Lord![b]
10 How blessed is the coming kingdom[c]
of our ancestor David!
Hosanna in the highest heaven!”[d]
